Tier 1 Investment bank known for their pioneering approach and global remit are seeking a highly ambitious and exceptionally educated technologist to work on one of their next generation, low latency platforms. 
Significant growth in the Cash Equity area has lead to huge investment in the team and its infrastructure, where the developer will be constantly interacting with senior colleagues on a day to day basis.
The position will require someone to work within a high pressured, fast paced environment that wants to engage with all aspects of the business.  A highly skilled technologist who can demonstrate their leadership ability and take the team forward is of vital importance. 
This is a great opportunity to work on a Greenfield project being built from scratch, with the most innovative technologies around being used.

The successful candidate have skills in:
-Java,
-Low Latency experience,
-Electronic trading experience,
-Object Orientated design.

The work: 
-This is an exciting greenfield project, starting from scratch to develop a next generation low latency system to allow order management, algorithmic trading and smart order routing systems.
-You will have had exposure to the likes of smart order routing, crossing/internalization of order flow, order management, algorithmic trading, exchange connectivity, FIX protocol, real-time market data.

The person:
-Independent self-starter with,
-Good oral and written communication skills,
-Multitask and work effectively under pressure to deadlines.

Primarily, an exceptionally technologist with experience of working on low latency systems is of most importance to the client. 
The ability to work closely with senior figures and take responsibility for the next generation platform is also important.
