This position is responsible for assisting the implementation of the firm's Operational Risk Framework for Europe.
This also includes supporting the management of business continuity and delivery of key operational risk projects and priorities.
The operational risk analyst will have the following responsibilities:
-Implementation of the Group's Operational Risk Framework,
-Assist in embedding the firm's Operational Risk Framework,
-Support implementation of risk policies and procedures,
-Management of risk systems, returns, reports and processes,
-Assist in the management of internal risk systems e.g. BOLD, RCMS, IBCMS,
-Co-ordinate and deliver risk reports and returns to internal and external stakeholders,
-Strive to improve processes to promote ‘risk is everyone's responsibility',
-Enhance risk reporting processes and MIS,
-Help to manage operational risk forums and meetings,
-Work in partnership with the business to assess and manage operational risk exposure,
-Work with business stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and assist with the management of operational risk within the firm's European business risk appetite,
-Work with the business to ensure sound risk management and controls are embedded in daily operational activities,
-Take a pragmatic approach to operational risk management,
-Business Continuity Management,
-Co-ordinate and assist in BCP testing, reviews and strategies,
-Project Management,
-Own and deliver operational risk projects and priorities.
The successful candidate will have the following background and skill set:
-Minimum two years prior operational risk experience in the financial services industry a prerequisite.
-Previous experience in embedding operational risk frameworks, conducting risk assessments, risk management across multiple lines of businesses and geographies, and establishing the foundations of an operational risk function in a multinational organisation essential.
-Strong familiarity with risk management systems such as (or equivalent to) BOLD, RCMS, IBCMS required.
-Quantitative risk analytical skills a benefit.
-University degree in a relevant business discipline highly regarded.
-Project management, process mapping and business analytical experience an advantage.
-Demonstrated team player with excellent organisation, planning and interpersonal skills.
-Highly motivated and flexible, with a proven ability to deliver in a challenging and dynamic environment.
-Strong desire in a career in risk management.
